What is GHS?
GHS: Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals
GHS is a system where the types and intensity of hazards are classified and displayed according to the internationally harmonized criteria so that the hazards of the chemical substance are clear to all.
The display of the GHS classification is required by law around the world, including Europe, the USA, and Asia, and the preparation of safety data sheets (SDS) for the applicable substance, which includes the GHS classification), is made mandatory. In Europe, the classification, display, and packaging of GHS are mandatory according to the CLP regulation.
