Personal Information Protection Policy

Mitsubishi Chemical Research Corporation (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) recognizes an appropriate protection of the personal information (referred to as “the Personal Information” which is set down in the law on the protection of the personal information, hereinafter the same) as a significant responsibility, and in order to fulfil the said responsibility, shall treat the Personal Information based on the following policy.

Compliance with laws

In addition to comply with the personal information protection laws and the affiliated laws, the Company shall abide by the customs and practices on the Personal Information which may be recognized as fair and proper, and shall treat them in an appropriate manner.
Handling of the Personal Information

In addition to the improvement and operation of the in-house rules and management system on control of the Personal Information, the Company shall strive to conduct education and training for employees to let them have the deeper consciousness for the protection of the Personal Information. Also, the Company shall request the business consignees or business contacts to treat the Personal Information in an appropriate manner.
Acquisition of the Personal Information

When acquiring the Personal Information, the purpose of use shall be clearly stated and the Information shall be acquired within the extent of requirement in a legal and fair manner.
Use of the Personal Information

Acquired personal data shall be used for the Company's business activities to be attained and shall not be used for any other purposes, and the measures shall be taken to exercise it.
Provision of the Personal Information

The Personal Information retained by the Company shall not be provided to the third party without the consent of the individual, as long as there is no due reason.
Safety Measures for the Personal Information

The Company shall take reasonable measures to protect the Personal Information from leakage, loss or damage for security, and shall take the prompt measures when a trouble occurs.
Response to claims and inquiries

If you inquire about the handling of retained personal data including the notification of the purpose of the use or request the release, correction, addition, suspension of it, after confirming that the inquiry actually came from you, we shall appropriately respond to your inquiry.
Successive Remediation

The Company shall, in order to practice the fore-written provisions, strive to continuously discuss, review and improve them.

The Company was granted certification as a company which properly deals with personal information by Japan Institute for Promotion of Digital Economy and Community (JIPDEC) to acquire ‘Privacy Certificate’ in April 2007, and renewed it in April 2021.
